Range: Western Indian Ocean: Endemic to the Red Sea.

Size: 8 inches (20 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and rubble areas on coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 30 feet (1– 10 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrate, usually hard-shelled invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
