Common Name: Fathead/Sunburst/Hawkfish Anthias

Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Indonesia and Great Barrier Reef

Size: 5 inches - 12 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits deeper reef faces and slopes/drop-off areas

General Husbandry: Prefer a water temperature of 72 - 80°F (22 - 27°C). An excellent reef aquarium fish, however, requires caves and hiding areas. Sensitive to bright light. Require exceptional water quality, good water movement and numerous feedings per day. Diet consists mainly of meaty foodstuffs, e.g., mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and enriched fresh fish and shrimp flesh.

Aquarium Suitability: Needs to be maintained with passive tankmates.
