Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Singapore and Philippines to Solomon Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 20 inches - 50 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits protected coastal reefs and inner and outer lagoons and spends the daytime in caves and under ledges at depths between 25 to 250 feet (8 – 75 m) and feeds mainly at night on small fish, worms, crabs, and shrimp.

General Husbandry: Has a bluish body having numerous yellow horizontal lines, with all fins yellow. Not purposely collected for the hobby. Shown here for identification only.
