Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to Micronesia, north to Southern Japan, south to the Solomon Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 16 inches (40 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits steep outer coral lagoons and seaward reef slopes and usually found at depths between 30 - 130 feet (10 - 40 m) where it feeds mainly on zooplankton and minor amounts of benthic algae.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
