Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to Tuamotu, Hawaiian, and Marquesan Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Lord Howe Island.

Size: 40 inches (100 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits outer reef drop-offs as adults and usually found at depths between 85 - 200 feet (25 - 60 m) where it feeds mainly on zooplankton and some benthic algae.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
