Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: South China Sea to Samoa, north to the Philippines, south to Scott Reef, New Caledonia and Tonga.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sheltered lagoons, reef flats, and protected reef faces and usually found at depths between 3 - 65 feet (1 - 20 m) where it feeds upon small fishes and benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
