Range: Eastern Indian Ocean: Southern Australia, from southern western Australia to New South Wales and Tasmania.

Size: 18 inches (45 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas among seaweeds and coral reefs, and feeds on minute crustaceans.

General Husbandry: A highly protected species and even public aquariums must have a permit to import them.

Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Has a temperature range of 56 - 65°F (14 – 18°C).
