Common Name: Tobacco Bass

Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Bermuda, Caribbean, and southern Florida to northern South America

Size: 8 inches - 20 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy sloped areas and seagrass areas

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 80°F (22 - 27°C) and have a natural diet of small fishes and crustaceans. They require meaty foodstuffs, e.g., mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and enriched fresh fish and shrimp flesh. Not safe with invertebrate or smaller fishes, and should have at least one feeding per day. One per aquarium.
