Species Name: Inimicus filamentosus Authority: (Cuvier, 1829) Common Name: Two-stick Stingfish Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to Maldives Size: 12 inches - 30 cm Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons, reef flats, and found on rubble bottoms General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 80°F (22 - 27°C) and has a natural diet of small fishes and shrimp. Not normally collected the trade, and shown here for identification only. This is a venomous creature. Aquarium Suitability: Needing their own private environment/special tankmates |
