Southern Stingray

Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: New Jersey to the northern Gulf of Mexico and to southern Brazil, including the Antilles.

Size: 80 inches - (200 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sand flats, seagrass beds, lagoons and reef slopes. Buries in sand during day and hunts at night and usually found at depths between 3 to 15 feet (1 - 5 m) where it feeds on small fishes and exposed invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
