Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, New Guinea, Philippines, north to Japan, south to Australia, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, and Palau.

Size: 16 inches - (40 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits protected bays and lagoons rich in algae and usually found at depths between 3 - 85 feet (1 - 25 m) where it feeds mainly upon algae and some benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
