Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines to Solomon Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Marianas and Vanuatu.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits protected sandy lagoons and silty bays and usually found at depths between 3 to 700 feet (1 - 210 m) where it feeds on algae and benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
