Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan, South China Sea, south to Australia, and New Zealand, and also the southeast Atlantic Ocean: south coast of South Africa.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas over the continental shelf and slopes and usually found at depths between 30 to 1200 feet (10 - 360 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
