Common Name: Green-blotch Parrotfish

Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Bahamas to northern South America

Size: 10 inches - 25 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep rocky and coral reefs

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 79°F (22 - 26°C) and feeds upon algae covered rock and coral branches/mounds. Requires numerous feedings per day with a varied diet containing some meaty foodstuffs and a lot of vegetable matter. Safe to keep with soft corals, but not stony corals. Rarely seen in the trade.

Aquarium Suitability: Large fish-only aquarium/Best left in the wild
