Range: Central Pacific Ocean: Hawaiian Islands.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits outer reef areas rich in coral growth and usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Males tend to be tannish with dark edged scales, blue lips and dark frontal tail, while the females are a light tan, with several dark upper mid-body bars and white on the tail. Not purposely collected for the trade.
