Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Japan to Hong Kong.

Size: 9 inches (22 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep reefs and can be found in very deep waters between 300 to 500 feet (90 – 150 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has mottled reddish body. Not collected for the trade.
