Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Andaman Islands to Southern Japan and south to northwest Australia.

Size: 16 inches (40 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow inshore silty reefs and found at depths between 3 – 150 feet (1 – 45 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a pale white body with numerous large brown to black spots. Not purposely collected for the trade.
