Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, north to Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and south to Australia.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow silty coastal reefs and estuaries and is found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Generally a greyish body with pale grey patches. Not collected for the trade.
