Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines to Australia.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow protected reefs and is found at depths between 3 – 150 feet (1 – 45 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Adults are brown to reddish with dark edged blue spots on the body, head and fins. Juveniles are dark brown with yellow dorsal, anal, pelvic and tail fins. Not yet purposely collected for the trade.
