Range: Western Indian Ocean: Seychelles and Maldives.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy bottom areas near reefs and lives with Alpheid ochrostriatus and A. randalli shrimps and usually seen at depths between 65 - 130 feet (20 - 40 m) where it feeds on zooplankton and small crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.

FYI: Now classified as Tomiyamichthys praealta.

Should others in this genus become available, aquarium husbandry similar to Tomiyamichthys oni would suffice.
