Range: Atlantic Ocean: North Carolina, Bermuda to eastern Gulf of Mexico, Puerto Rico, and southern Caribbean.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits steep outer reef slopes and rocky outcroppings at depths between 100 to 250 feet (30 – 75 m), and basically feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a pale reddish pink body. Not purposely collected for the trade.
