Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Ashmore Reef to Tuamotu Islands, north to Wake Island, south to Great Barrier Reef and the Marshall and Mariana Islands.

Size: 1 inch (2 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reefs and areas covered in algae and usually found at depths between 3 – 10 feet (1 – 3 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate/zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
