Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to Samoa, north to Yaeyama Islands, and south to the northern Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits silty bottom areas of lagoons or coastal reefs where it lives with Alpheid/pistol shrimp and usually found at depths between 3 – 30 feet (1 – 10 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
