Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea.

Size: 5 inches (13 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore course sandy areas where it lives with Alpheid/pistol shrimp and usually found at depths between 6 – 50 feet (2 – 15 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
