Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to the Marshall Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits bottoms of sandy caves on seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 30 – 85 feet (10 – 25 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
