Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Maldives to Southern Japan, south to the Hawaiian Islands, Society islands, including Palau, Solomon Islands, and Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 2 inches (3 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas containing black coral and usually found at depths between 50 –200 feet (15 – 60 m) where it feeds upon zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
