Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan south to Hawaiian Islands and south the Great Barrier Reef, Lord Howe Island, and New Caledonia, and east to Fiji and Samoa.

Size: 2 inches (4 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit gorgonian seawhips such as Juncella fragilis and J. juncea, and possibly Ellisella maculata and usually found at depths between 20 –150 feet (6 – 45 m) where it feeds upon zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
