Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaiian, Line and Tuamotu Islands, north to Southern Japan, south Lord Howe and Rapa Islands.

Size: 3 inches (6 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits algae coated rock and rubble of inner reef flats and turbid lagoons and usually found at depths between 3 –65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds upon tiny invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
