Range: Widespread in the Indo-Pacific Ocean.

Size: 2 inches (3 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sand and rubble bottom edges of steep lagoon slopes and lies on the bottom and/or hides in crevices when threatened, and usually found at depths between 40 –100 feet (12 – 30 m) where it feeds upon tiny invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
