Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Sumatra to Moluccas, north to the Philippines and Palau in Micronesia.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits silty sandy areas in inshore lagoons and usually found at depths between 15 –100 feet (5 – 30 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrates and zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
