Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Papua New Guinea south to Western Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy bottom areas on reef flats and adjacent coral reefs at depths between 30 to 250 feet (10 – 75 m) and feeds mainly on worms, crabs, shrimp and small fishes.

General Husbandry: Has a reddish brown body with several horizontal white lines and a black spot of the caudal peduncle. Not collected for the trade due to its physical size!
