Common Name: Multi-barred Angelfish

Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea, Solomon, Fiji, Samoan Islands, and the Great Barrier Reef

Size: 4 inches -10 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits caves and crevices in deep and steep slope areas, from 50 to over 200 feet (15 - 65 m) in depth, and rarely goes too far from its hiding place.

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and consume meaty foodstuffs, yet difficult to get it to begin feeding. Will nip corals. Rarely seen in the trade.

Aquarium Suitability: Shy, and difficult to acclimate. Needs dimly lit system with lots of hiding places.
